In 1946, Marcel Mangin and Jean Égly, two electric motor rewinders, found the company Mangin and Égly in a small workshop in Vitry-le-François.

In 1956, with financial backing from the Lamort family, which was already well known in the paper industry, the company changes its name to Mangin-Égly and Co and now employs thirty people.
Profiting from the rapid development of agricultural chemistry in the region, Mangin-Égly and Co branches into the world of sugar production. 
Benefiting from the international growth of its shareholder, the company doubles its activity. 
After just 20 years in existence, the company now employs over one hundred people and this growth trend looks set to continue.

In 1972, both founders sadly pass away through illness within three months of each other.
Despite the state of confusion in the aftermath of their deaths, Marcel’s son Jean-Claude Mangin takes over the reigns, modernises the premises and expands the company’s field of expertise.

In 1995, the company’s family shareholder withdraws from the company in favour of the Vinci Energies Group.
Jack Manka becomes president. Major reforms take place to enable mangin.egly to enter a new chapter in its history.

Since 2000, the company has moved into a new dimension with the first generatuion biofuel development and international great projects.
